Overview & Summary:

The Event BDR (Business Development Representative) is responsible for driving qualified attendance to C3’s private regional events and the annual C3 Tech Summit. This entry-level, fully remote role designs and runs multi-touch, multi-channel outreach to extend invitations to technology leaders from across the Midwest. The Event BDR owns pre-event communication and last-mile attendance tactics (registrations are a milestone, but qualified attendees are the goal), with light post-event promotion of future events. You’ll leverage HubSpot, Sales Navigator, Surfe, Zapier (and more) and collaborate closely with both Marketing and sales to produce any digital assets needed to hit targets. Occasional required travel to support live events on site (typically 1–3 nights per month).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own event pipeline: Build and execute multi-touch, multi-channel campaigns to drive qualified registrations and attendees to regional events and annual C3 Tech Summit. 
  • Targeting & list building: Work from curated lists and prospect net-new decision-makers (Director+ IT/IS, CX, Infrastructure, Security, Data/AI) at mid- to midsize-enterprise orgs across the Midwest.
  • Personalize at scale: Segment by title, industry, and event value prop; test subject lines, CTAs, and formats (including short video prospecting) to improve conversion.
  • Tooling & automation: Operate daily in HubSpot (sequences, tasks, logging), Sales Navigator, Surfe, and Zapier; maintain accurate data and activity notes.
  • Content collaboration: Partner with Marketing to request landing pages, one-pagers, social tiles, micro-videos, and speaker highlights; provide real-time feedback on what’s resonating.
  • Event week execution: Support last-mile “butts-in-seats” efforts (confirmations, waitlist pulls, no-show nudges); attend select events on site (Indy, Michigan, Chicagoland) to assist with day-of outreach and check-in.
  • Performance reporting: Track campaign metrics (open/reply rates, conversion to qualified registrant, show-rate) and share insights to improve the next event.
  • Cross-team handoffs: Coordinate with Advisors/Sales on high-value guests and VIP outreach; document notes that help hosts greet and engage attendees effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Ability to conduct professional conversations with executives and decision-makers.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • U.S. Citizen or legal to work in the U.S. 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience with designing and running B2B campaigns
  • Experience with Hubspot, Sales Navigator, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
