A look back at the C3 AI Agent Workshop and a look ahead at what's coming next.

There is a lot of conversation happening right now about AI. What it can do, what it means for your team, and whether your organization is ready for it. Those are important discussions. But at some point, the most useful thing you can do is just start. That was the spirit behind the C3 AI Agent Workshop on March 17, 2026, sponsored by Boost.AI. We brought a room full of curious, motivated professionals together and spent the day doing the thing so many organizations are still only talking about.

What the Day Looked Like

The workshop was designed with one goal in mind: to close the gap between knowing AI exists and knowing how to use it inside your own organization. We walked through how organizations are starting to apply AI in practical ways, improving both day-to-day operations and the experiences they deliver to the people they serve. From there, we explored real workflows that come up across almost every type of organization:

  • Handling common inquiries and requests so your team spends less time on repetitive questions and more time on the work that matters
  • Automating time-sensitive processes where speed and accuracy are critical
  • Scheduling and coordination workflows that reduce friction and back-and-forth
  • Payment processing and transaction support for high-volume, rules-based tasks
  • FAQ and knowledge automation that helps teams and customers find answers fast, at any hour

Then came the part everyone left talking about. Attendees had the chance to begin building their own AI agent, in real time, applying these workflows to scenarios relevant to their own work. For many people in the room, it was the first time they had gone from concept to a working prototype in a single afternoon.

What People Took Away

The conversations that emerged from the day were exactly what we hoped for. People left with questions they are genuinely excited to answer, and a clearer sense of where AI fits inside their own work.

talk-symbol-of-speech-bubbles   "I loved it. It is making me think about which agents we need to build. Really thought-provoking since the space is changing so fast."

talk-symbol-of-speech-bubbles "Clear picture of potential use cases for an AI agent. The news is the fun stuff, but this was day-to-day. Put it to use in a better way."

talk-symbol-of-speech-bubbles "Very easy to make the bot. Building was easier than I thought. Much simpler."

talk-symbol-of-speech-bubbles "Network, have the conversations even if people are not in your industry. Open dialogue strikes up new ideas and helps improve the tools."

talk-symbol-of-speech-bubbles "Don't be nervous or intimidated. Just do it. C3 puts on a really good event and understands where this technology is going."

More Workshops Are Coming

More workshops are already in the works, with additional sessions being planned throughout the Midwest. Each session is designed to be accessible, regardless of your technical background. You don’t need to be a developer to get real value out of the day. If you have a workflow that could run smarter, that’s enough to get started.

What makes these events worth showing up for is the room itself. The people in this workshop came from different organizations, roles, and starting points with AI, which made the conversations better. People shared what they’re working through, what they’ve already tried, and what they wish they had known sooner. That kind of peer learning is hard to replicate, and it’s something we’re intentional about creating.

If you joined us, thank you for being part of it. If you missed this one, keep an eye on what’s coming next, especially as we expand these workshops across the Midwest. They fill up quickly, and the experience of being in the room is different from reading about it afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an AI agent workshop?
An AI agent workshop is a hands-on event where participants learn how to design and build AI agents for workflows they actually use. Rather than sitting through presentations, attendees get time to build, experiment, and problem-solve alongside peers. Most people leave with a working prototype and a clearer picture of where to go next.

Do I need a technical background to attend a C3 AI workshop?
No. These workshops are built for business leaders, operations teams, and anyone curious about how AI can improve their day-to-day work.
